Koen Van den Brande joins NeuroPath as Chief Solutions Officer

NeuroPath (www.NeuroPath.life) is a provider of disruptive and innovative solutions to address the needs of Parkinson’s Disease patients, medical practitioners and researchers, worldwide.

Today NeuroPath announces the appointment of Koen Van den Brande to its management team. Van den Brande will be responsible for the solutions roadmap.

Koen Van den Brande is a veteran of the Banking Technology software industry, with over 30 years of experience as a senior executive at worldwide market leaders in productized banking software solutions, such as Misys (now Finastra), Temenos and Polaris, as well as global strategy roles at technology leaders Microsoft and Accenture.

Van den Brande is also a Person with Parkinson’s (PwP) himself, with the condition diagnosed at age 50. He underwent successful brain surgery to introduce deep brains stimulation (DBS) a few years ago.

In 2019, Van den Brande founded KoDe Health together with some friends and presented a well-received proposal at the World Parkinson Congress in Kyoto. The proposal introduced voice-activated monitoring of PwP at home, as a basis for gathering structured and unstructured data. Based on AI analysis of the data, people suffering from the disease and their caregivers would then get feedback on Quality of Life parameters, based on input from medical practitioners, the community and specialized research. NeuroPath’s solutions will now incorporate the know-how developed at KoDe Health.

Koen Van den Brande has spent years in India with a base in rural Maharashta, outside Mumbai. This experience has provided him with firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by vast numbers of PwPs in India.
