Adaptronics is a deep-tech startup that develops advanced electro-adhesive gripping technologies for both industrial automation and space applications. Founded in 2022 as a university spin-off, the company leverages over a decade of research in soft robotics, electroadhesion, and smart materials. Its proprietary thin-film electro-adhesive layer, produced using flexible printed electronics, enables energy-efficient, conformable gripping with integrated sensing capabilities. Adaptronics is currently scaling its technology for use in in-orbit servicing, active debris removal, and lunar exploration, while already deploying its industrial solutions in sectors like packaging and e-commerce.
