Argo Semiconductors provides a disruptive solution for reducing the Total Cost of Ownership of cellular infrastructure, combining an unprecedented degree of integration with analog AI. Argo addresses a primary pain in today’s connectivity landscape, the root cause of 5G slow expansion and adverse effects on the anticipated growth of the economy. 

In particular, Argo today brings to the market the world’s first single board active antenna, a product that has already attracted the attention of more than ten key players in the Radio Access Network (RAN) market, since it allows the radio cost reduction and the power consumption reduction by more than 25%. The active antenna technology is the key differentiation factor between the 4G and the 5G cellular technologies in terms of improved features, albeit at the cost of substantially increased TCO and power consumption.

Argo has a world class team with a proven track record of more than ten silicon products and collective sales exceeding 1bn components. Argo has a strong and continuously growing patent portfolio. On the business side, Argo has built a partnership with NXP and it maintains open channels with many key players in the world market, at all stages of the value chain.

Presently, Argo is looking for equity funding of 4.8 million Euro in order to:

1. Finalize the development of its smart RF IC to be used in an enhanced version of its product that will allow a wealth of new radio features and options, such as further power savings of at least 25% and further virtualization of the RAN.  
2. Ramp up its marketing efforts and scale up globally.

Up to half of this funding need can be funded by EIC sources. Regarding the company projections, the breakeven is expected in 2027, while the milestone of 100 million revenues is expected before the end of the decade.
