WaveTech tackles the problem of coastal erosion. It's a global phenomenon, urgent because in many places populations are being displaced and coastal economies threatened, and it's accelerating with global warming.

There are no valid solutions. In the past, dikes were built; now sand is bought and transported by truck or boat to replenish the beaches, a solution that is both very costly and environmentally catastrophic.
 

So, inspired by nature, we invented a way of modifying the topology of the beachfront. By burying flexible elements under the sand, controlled by compressed air, we optimize wave action to bring sand to beaches at lower cost.

To date, we are the only company to have developed this technology, which requires in-depth expertise in flexible structures, granular media and sediment transport. We have been working with top scientists for the past 4 years, hold 3 patents to protect the invention, and have won several prestigious innovation awards, notably in the UK.
 

Our end customers are coastal communities, particularly in Europe and the United States, who are already spending millions of euros on beach replenishment projects.
