At Hvild https://www.hvild.no/ we have developed and launched the very first menopause health insurance cover in the world, jointly with reinsurance giant SCOR. But as insurance alone will not help with a single menopause or cyclical health symptom, we also provide a fully digital underlying medical treatment package. Our treatment package includes expert medical consultations, a range of non-medicinal treatments, and where appropriate hormone replacement treatment delivered directly at home. All wrapped in an employee-paid insurance policy, with zero employee deductibles, women only. The wrapper also includes a digital platform / tool box for employers and employees alike, to manage and deal with key female health conditions not currently covered by health insurance. Anywhere.
The team is all female, with very direct own experiences with cyclical health and the menopause from hell. I'm just the male plus one. Someone has to make lunch.
We've just launched in super-digital and massive health data register Norway, are setting up in Sweden, and are currently looking for funding to scale into all of Europe (we're already licensed across the EU) and beyond. We can't become the first menopause unicorn, I expect that Midi Health has already claimed that status, but no reason we can't be the second. And the first on the European side of the pond.
