We run the afrocentric streetwear brand 'Butan' .

'Butan' originates from the re-arrangement of the word 'Bantu' – a linguistic grouping of 24 countries spread across Africa, also meaning "people" in the Nguni languages. Post colonial abuse and misuse of the word 'Bantu' in South Africa, 'Butan' emerges, symbolising resilience, a reclaiming of history, and taking pride in the African story. Driven by our passion to showcase African culture globally, we are breaking mental barriers and embracing our identity through fashion. Our garments embody African anecdotes, crafted through quality apparel, blended with bold graphics and re-imagined patterns. 

Butan is a powerful African narrative, set on the global stage of premium streetwear.

Current Projects:

We are working on launching a sustainable footwear line using rubber obtained from recycled tyres to remould the outer soles.
