GAMMA Technologies is a B2B Enterprise Construction tech business that changes the way people build. The construction sector is plagued by inefficiencies (10% of all construction costs are attributable to rework), high pollution ((the sector generates 13% of all GHG emissions) and low profitability (margins around 3%). Furthermore, construction accounts for the highest suicide rate amongst all industries.
Enter: GAMMA AR. Our app allows to leverage the existing tablets and phones on construction sites to visualize 3D (BIM) models through augmented reality. This is a game changer compared to today's realities where construction execution relies to a large extent exclusively on 2D plans that require imagination of how things should look like in reality.  With augmented reality, on the other hand, what should be built is directly visualised in the right spatial context allowing to focus on the execution itself, not the imagination. This the building process intuitive, communication unambiguous, and rework avoidable empowering the construction workers to build things right the first time.

Today, most of our 80+ B2B customers are general contractors, who bear the risk of mistakes (setting up significant buffers in their quoted budgets for rework) and asset owners (who want to see an efficient allocation of their resources and timely execution of the building projects).

(i) ability to processes complex models (some customers report that their pharmaceutical plant models made all the other competitors' applications crash),
(ii) ease of use: simple yet precise positioning without the need of site- or model-preparation (like it would be required for QR-code- or Beacon-based solutions)
(iii) no disturbance of existing workflows: seamless integration with ACC/BIM360, recently released integration with Procore & BIMCollab
(iv) No need for additional investments: software running on both, Android and iOS phones and tablets

In the long-term vision, we want people to use GAMMA AR whenever they want to access any information about the physical asset in front of them (be it building under construction, an existing building, or another asset like a bridge, train or a ship). Having the right information in its spatial context at the right time allows to take informed decisions and identify mistakes early, preventing their amplification. During construction, this means a possibility to reduce rework and related greenhouse gases. The deployment of such technology would also make construction more efficient, which is needed to meet the increasing demand (housing + growth of other industries), and attract young people into the industry (crucial given today's rising labour shortage).

Being the interface of choice to display data will also give the opportunity to capture data and human-driven decisions "at the source", which could be leveraged for further interpretation, automation and (predictive) decision taking.

Today, we successfully launched our scaling, growing the FY22 traction (€ 76k revenues, € 286k of total sales) to € 432k revenues and € 581k total sales in the period Jan-Oct23 (i.e. 10 months) alone. With a team of 14 people in our Luxembourg headquarters, we are happy to report to be present on over 200+ projects in over 20 countries.
