About your organization

Seamless Waves is a spin-off from Sorbonne University, Paris, France. The company was founded in October 2016 by one Associate Professor: Hassan Aboushady and two Ph.D.s: Michel Vasilevski and Alhassan Sayed.

Seamless Waves is a fabless semiconductor company specialized in the design and implementation of reconfigurable RF transceivers. Seamless Waves agile transceivers satisfy the key technology requirements of 5G networks:

  • They cover a wide frequency spectrum of several GHz.
  • They are suitable for Massive MIMO Beamforming techniques
  • They can adapt to several communication standards having different center frequencies and bandwidths.

Seamless Waves chips are expected to be essential for 5G (New Radio) base-stations and Internet of Things (IoT) controllers. Thanks to their very low power consumption they are also suitable for smart phones and portable devices. Seamless Waves has fabricated its first chip in 2018 for Thales Communication and Security in a 65nm CMOS technology from STMicroelectronics. The chip is expected to be released during the first Quarter of 2019.

Seamless Waves has already received a large support from Sorbonne University, SATT-LUTECH accelerator, AGORANOV incubator and the Parisian Chamber of Commerce and Industry CCI-SOLEILLET. The company also won 3 prestigious innovation awards from the Ministry of research and BPI-France: i-LAB "Emergence" in 2015, i-LAB "Creation & Development" in 2016 and PIA "Future Innovation Program" in 2017.
