Biotrem Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością (limited liability company) is a special purpose vehicle established by private Polish entrepreneurs in 2012. Since 2013 it has been realizing the BIOTREM venture consisting in development and improvement of wheat bran packaging production technology. The company is the sole owner of industrial property rights to wheat bran packaging production technologies protected by three patents of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland as well as one patent application. The company's Vice President and stakeholder is the inventor of the patented technology – Jerzy Wysocki. The strategic goal of the company is to acquire a significant competitive position in scope of industrial production and sales of compostable packaging and cutlery in Poland, on the markets of Western Europe as well as in the United States and Canada. The main business of the company is the production and sales of single-use tableware and cutlery made of wheat bran, biodegradable cultery made of PLA and wheat bran as well as activity comprising research and development in scope of improving methods of manufacturing single-use tableware and cutlery made of wheat bran and a composite of PLA + wheat bran.
