YASSI

YASSI is a legally registered company in Côte d’Ivoire since 2015. It was initially dedicated to creating language learning tools through educational games.

However, due to a lack of funding, no operational activities have been launched to date.

This incubation period led to the development of more ambitious projects, notably ASTRID.

🌍 ASTRID — The Future of Inclusive and Self-Sustaining Cities

Astrid is a visionary urban development project covering 1,600 hectares in Côte d’Ivoire, centered on a main city of 10,000 social housing units for low-income families (approximately 50,000 FCFA (76€)/month).

The project combines ecology, technology, cryptocurrency, and cooperative economics to create a new kind of city — autonomous, sustainable, and socially inclusive.

Fully self-financed through the valorization and phased sale of land around the future Harvard University campus, Astrid represents a real-world model of urban self-sufficiency.

The project has already attracted interest from Professor Dorothy Garrett of Harvard University, who found its concept “fascinating.” A meeting is scheduled to explore potential collaborations in urban innovation and research.

At the heart of ASTRID lies a multidisciplinary approach uniting architecture, clean energy, digital finance, and social inclusion.

Key innovations include a rolling road system regulating traffic in dense areas, digital tokens for community exchanges, and a cooperative structure ensuring every resident actively participates in the city’s growth.

From the start, the cooperative will establish a local enterprise, registering all residents with the CNPS (national social security system) to ensure social protection and formal employment.

A gas storage and distribution center, also managed by the cooperative, will generate revenues redistributed as dividends to residents, reinforcing collective ownership and economic empowerment.

These revenues will also cover health and life insurance, as well as individual taxes, ensuring complete financial stability and security for all.

ASTRID embodies the spirit of the New European Bauhaus, combining aesthetics, sustainability, and inclusion in a living ecosystem that redefines how cities grow, sustain themselves, and empower their residents.
