Wind Fisher proposes "wind power in a box" which generates decentralized electricity, with more productive hours, and less cost than current solutions, using disruptive Magnus effect wind rotors delivered in standard containers.

Decentralized energy generation is a growing trend to promote resilience and independence. Solar panels are the go-to solution but what does one do when the sun doesn’t shine? Stored energy from batteries, hydrogen fuel cells and diesel generators is expensive and burning diesel fuel emits CO2. Small wind turbines remain a niche market due to the limited height of their towers which handicaps their performance. In addition, the traditional wind turbine industry is falling significantly short of their ramp-up targets to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

Wind Fisher’s wind rotors reach altitudes of 50-500m where the wind is strong and persistent. Our wind rotors are designed to achieve capacity factors of around 60% at low to medium wind sites, more than 4x more than solar panels and 2-3x more than equivalent power wind turbines. More production with a reduced capex means our levelized costs of energy are one-third that of comparable wind systems. Our containerized wind systems are also easier to install, transportable to facilitate repositioning, and enable economic production at new sites. The ability to reel-in the wind rotor to the base station during no wind events, means we minimize visual pollution and increase social acceptance.
