Volta Medical

Founded in 2016 in the south of France by 3 physicians and one engineer, Volta Medical is a young med-tech company based in Marseille that develops artificial intelligence (AI) intended for interventional cardiology.

From day one, Volta’s DNA has been to build large databases on which algorithms are rooted and developed into user-friendly, cue-giving, per-procedural guidance tools. Volta’s products therefore represent a disruptive improvement to available technologies.

The 3 physicians and co-founders are world-renowned experts in cardiac electrophysiology and intracardiac signal analysis. They have developed a new state-of-the-art medical procedure to guide cardiac surgeons in the treatment of atrial fibrillation. Volta Medical will automate it thanks to its first artificial intelligence software AIFib which has been developed by a highly skilled team of engineers and data scientists.

In 2018 Volta has been awarded "Seal of Excellence" by European Commission.
