Valence Technologiesis a Belgian advanced materials company pioneering self-healing polymers for industrial use under the tradename HEALANT® (trademark). The company is a spin-off from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), with R&D activities hosted in the university’s labs and headquarters at the Green Energy Park. The team comprises 10 FTEs, including 6 scientists, 2 business developers, and 2 management leads. CEO Simon Beckers brings deep tech startup experience, while CGO Ghislain Van Cutsem (former Global Operations Director at Michelin) adds 40+ years of tire manufacturing and industrialization expertise – directly aligned with our first target market – enabling self-healing tires.
