UBT SRL (Umbria Bioengineering  Technologies) is a cutting-edge tech company working on the  use of electromagnetic fields in medical devices. The core activity is focused on research and development of microwave imaging techniques for diagnostic purposes.

UBT is pioneering microwave imaging and constructed a novel X-ray free mammogram. The inherent safety of the mammogram (which uses microwave signal rather than ionizing radiation), the absence of any breast crushing, the easy examination can strong enhance mass screening. Clinical trials are already in progress at Perugia and Foligno Hospital, Italy.

UBT activity includes also electromagnetic fields measurements, risk assessment for electromagnetic fields exposure, electromagnetic compatibility measurements.

UBT is an innovative startup company and academic spin-off of the Department of Physics and Geology ( FISGEO ) of the University of Perugia, Italy.
