We conduct research on Shirasu to develop plaster wall materials that do not contain synthetic pastes, and renovate houses using these products. We are also working on R&D of new functional materials using Shirasu in industry-university collaboration. In 2013 we received a Special Jury Award in the Eco-Products Awards for our products Satsuma Nakagirishima-kabe, Satsuma Nakagirishima-kabe Light, and Shirasu Renovation. We already have customer companies in China and Taiwan and will further extend our sales channels.
