In food production, controlling the presence of bacteria is crucial to ensure food safety. However, food companies face a challenge because bacterial test results from the laboratory take 2-3 days to return, or even longer with external labs.  

Sensip-dx has developed a technology that can detect both the presence and quantity of LIVING bacteria in food products and throughout the food production process within just 15 minutes, as opposed to the standard 2-3 days. 

This innovation could significantly reduce the time it takes for food to travel from farm to fork, minimizing food waste and the energy expended in production and storage due to decreased refrigeration needs and more streamlined processes.

Our product:

• - will deliver recurrent sales (one time use cartridge per test at customers) 
• - has a fully recyclable disposable cartridge

• - delivers high margins (Sensip cost price is estimated to be 1% of the current costs for a bacteria test at external labs that customers pay today)

We are presently seeking investors to help bring this product to the market by 2025.

To date, nearly €2 million has been invested in de-risking the path to market. The plan for the remaining activities is set out in detail. For that an investment is needed of k€ 3.750

• k€ 1.250 to finish and test the MVP
• k€ 2.500 to scale production and bring our product to market.
