Organization and Structure
S.A.M is led by a team of experts at the crossroads of material science, digital technologies, and industrial systems:
- Cédric Prins — Founder and CEO, expert in international industrial development.
- Samuel Kenzari — PhD in materials science, CNRS researcher.
- Sylvain Lefebvre — Research director at INRIA, specialist in 3D algorithms.
Strategic support: SATT SAYENS, BPI France, Région Grand Est, CNRS, INRIA, Université de Lorraine, Deeptech certified.
Concept and Innovation
S.A.M turns a simple polymer object 3D-printed by additive manufacturing into a smart autonomous token:
It can unlock physical or digital access, secure sensitive documents, track parts or operations, trigger services or functions, and prove authenticity, compliance, or usage — without chips, networks, or vulnerabilities.
How it works:
- Material encoding
Sensitive data (rights, identifiers, documents…) is encrypted with a private key and embedded directly into the material. - Unique token printing
Each token is randomly generated with a hidden resistive fingerprint and a visible surface maze, impossible to clone. - Local reading without connection
A reader extracts the material signature and generates a temporary QR code;
the app (equipped with the private key) scans the visual maze, verifies the rights, and activates access or function.
👉 With S.A.M, the material becomes a secure digital agent.
Target Markets
S.A.M focuses on high-value B2B sectors where fraud, counterfeiting, or traceability gaps are critical risks:
- Luxury & art: tamper-proof protection for unique and limited pieces.
- Defense & aerospace: access control and traceability of critical components.
- Industry & 3D printing: embedded, unforgeable markings at manufacturing stage.
- Sensitive logistics: ISO, FDA, ESG compliance and end-to-end lifecycle tracking.
- Web3, cybersecurity, IoT: physical activation of wallets, contracts, platforms.
- Legal & insurance sectors: protection for contracts, deeds, IDs, policies, and sensitive documents.
History and Milestones
- 2016–2019: R&D on smart materials and additive manufacturing (INRIA, CNRS, SAYENS).
- 2019–2022: incubation, prototyping, public funding.
- December 2022: official founding of S.A.M SAS with SAYENS as a shareholder.
- 2023–2025:
- Awarded the French Tech Emergence Grant by BPI, running until April 2025.
- Innovation Prize 2025, awarded in June at 3DPRINT LYON.
Value Proposition
S.A.M offers sovereign, autonomous, and universal security—combining physical tamper-proofing, regulatory compliance, and built-in sustainability—without chips, cloud, or external dependencies.
Key benefits:
- Guaranteed tamper-proofing
Each object has a unique resistive signature printed inside the material—impossible to clone or fake. - Built-in dual authentication
Verifies both the hidden resistive key and the visible surface maze. Local validation, no infrastructure needed. - 100% offline operation
Fully autonomous reading, no servers, no data transmission—ideal for critical, remote, or regulated environments. - Universal plug & play
Easily integrates with physical assets, production lines, documents, APIs, and digital platforms. - Sovereignty & responsibility
No chip, no signal, no third-party dependency. Passive, encrypted, and fully made in France. - Native regulatory compliance
Meets FDA, NATO, GDPR, ISO, EN9100, ESPR/DPP, ESG, and Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE standards. - Durability by design
Recyclable tokens, zero obsolescence, compatible with local additive manufacturing. - Embedded traceability & non-repudiation
Each token carries local proof of origin, usage, or access, offline and tamper-proof.
Vision and Ambitions
S.A.M aims to become the global standard for material-based autonomous proof, serving industries, critical infrastructures, digital sovereignty, and next-gen cybersecurity.
Goal: to secure and trace any critical object or document — with embedded, infrastructure-free proof.
