Propella Business Incubator is a leading high-tech incubator and accelerator in South
Africa. It is one of the first business development hubs in South Africa to be fully geared for Business 4.0. Exciting new IT and advanced manufacturing businesses share the same building to encourage cooperation between innovators in both sectors. Propella helps commercialise the research and development being conducted at the Nelson Mandela University, as well as other technology entrepreneurs who either approach Propella for support or who are identified by Propella.
Prospective incubatees go through a rigorous selection process to qualify for access to Propella and its support services. Once they are selected Propella facilitators assist with mentoring and the evaluation of business concepts. One of Propella’s key strengths is its strategic approach to building strong ecosystem partners.
By identifying and working with purposefully selected partners, the incubator has developed a level of sustainability, in addition to ensuring that its SMMEs have access to innovation, technology, resources – financial and otherwise - and, most importantly, access to markets.
