About your organization

Power InnoTech initiative was launched from former employees of MCIA-UPC, a reference research centres for Industrial electronics and automation, assessing top-tier companies (VW, SIEMENS, AIRBUS, EADS, and GOODRICH).

Electrochemical [EC] processes play an increasingly key role within great range of industrial applications in many sectors. Four years ago, our CEO realized that the Power Supplies used nowadays to feed Electro-chemical processes have directly inherit the topologies developed in the 70’s.

In 2017, the DELPHIS concept (Disrupting ELectrochemical Processes with HIgh-Performance Power Supplies) born with the aim of replacing the current power systems found in every electrochemical industrial-scale process.

DELPHIS consists of an AC/DC Solid State Transformer incorporating the latest SoA, aimed to revolutionize the EC sector by replacing the current outdated power supplies. These include the use of wide-band (SiC, GaN) semiconductors, combined with planar transformers, leading to optimized topologies, working at high frequencies and currents, with control and monitoring capability (IoT).

The unique selling points include the reduction of energy losses, zero reactive power, high power density and a high-degree of modularisation.

Currently we account with a fully functional Minimum Viable Product already tested and validated within an electro-oxidation wastewater treatment plant. A Pay-back of less than one year have attracted several industrial companies.
