Platomics

Platomics is a spin-off from the renowned Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT). Platomics develops the PlatoX platform for 1) compliant analysis & interpretation of genetic data, 2) automation of workflows and 3) decision support for physicians. The goal is to become the backbone for genetic testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data protection.

Our outstanding executive team is led by the former head of bioinformatics at the AIT Dr. Albert Kriegner. Albert has over 15 years’ experience in molecular diagnostics and personalized medicine. The team covers all the expertise in regulatory, security, bioinformatics, laboratory, business, and AI required for the development and commercialization of PlatoX. Moreover, Platomics has an experienced Advisory Board, including Tom Miller, the former CEO of Siemens Healthcare.

PlatoX is our revolutionary digital platform that provides access for physicians to thousands of compliant tests. Patient data is secured by using encrypted and personalized access keys. This forms the digital backbone of European genetic testing and ensures compliance with the new IVDR. Furthermore, local encrypted data storage and analysis guarantees security and privacy of all genetic data. PlatoX integrates all stakeholders of the entire genetic testing value chain and is built on the latest cutting- edge software and hardware technology. PlatoX utilizes a unique combination of information technology, AI and big data management.
