Neoptera Aero is a British and French company, based in Bristol (England) and Toulouse (France). Having supplied consultancy services to the aerospace industry since 2001, Neoptera Aero has been developing since 2017 an electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft thanks to a small but highly experienced team of aircraft engineers (all originating from Airbus or Latecoere).
The aircraft has distributed electric propulsion along a tandem wing configuration and is capable of transporting up to 5 passengers or 500kg of payload.
The eOpter concept has the versatility of an helicopter in vertical flight, the efficiency of an aircraft in horizontal flight and promises to improve safety in the air and on the ground (to be used in urban environment), reduce noise pollution, reduce air pollution and reduce acquisition and operating cost. Piloted at first, the aircraft will be ready for future autonomous flight.
We work closely with ISAE-SUPAERO, the Aerospace Valley as well as a number of industrial partners on the development of key technological bricks.

Deux des 8 prototypes fonctionnels conçu a ce jour par l’équipe de Neoptera.
Ces 2 avions (échelles 1/7eme et 1/6eme) ont été testés sur un aérodrome privé dans le Lot cet été. Le plus gros modèle à une envergure d'un mètre et pèse 6kg.

Neoptera Aero, seule start-up eVTOL à avoir représenté la France à la Journée " Vers l'aéronef plus électrique : opportunités et perspectives" organisée par l'Aerospace Valley le 13/09 à Toulouse. Nous avons eu l'honneur de présenter notre projet et partager notre vision devant un panel d'experts comprenant notamment Airbus, Leihberr, Safran, Dassault, Thales et bien d'autres.

La jeune équipe Neoptera Aero, à Toulouse, le 16 octobre. Certains nous aident à temps partiel et d'autre à plein temps, sur des activités de conception avion ainsi que sur la définition de lois de pilotage et de contrôle.
