Necton is the oldest company in Europe to produce and sell microalgae, serving the aquaculture and cosmetics sectors since 1997; recently acquired 100% of the shares of Allmicroalgae, another key player in the industry and one of the largest microalgae production units in Europe, thus expanding significatively the ability to grow and the market scope to the agro and food sectors.

Necton has a unique technological platform mix and extensive know how to produce microalgae: organic spirulina raceway ponds (up to 7.000 m2), large photobioreactors to produce freshwater and seawater microalgae (up to 1.000 m3) and also heterotrophic microalgae production units (up to 10 m3). These 3 technological platforms, allow the company to work and target different markets, all with great potential to grow.

This mix of production technology and output capabilities, the existing know how and research muscle allied with the existing output, provides both flexibility and speed to market.

Our team has both the expertise and proven track record in sales, marketing, production and R&D, an invaluable asset in microalgae industry.

We are implementing a product development plan and optimizing the functional behaviour of our solutions. We are targeting an ambitious expansion plan in the Agro, aquafeed, and vegetal protein markets in order to become a global key player in the industry.
