Naarea

NAAREA is developing the XAMR®, a Generation IV nuclear micro-generator capable of producing electricity and heat from very long-lived used nuclear materials. The reactor combines three technologies: molten salts, fast neutrons and miniaturization. It is rated at a few tens of MW and will be mass produced in a factory prior to site deployment as close as possible to consumers - in particular industrial consumers - to whom NAAREA will sell energy.
