Magentiq Eye has harnessed the power of deep machine learning applied to digital video processing in colonoscopy. We have created ME-APDS™ (Magentiq Eye's Automated Polyp Detection System) that can detect and point out suspicious lesions and/or polyps for a gastroenterologist to inspect and take action (biopsy or removal) if needed.

In the latest formal offline test, the ME-APDS™, tested on 192 polyps, demonstrated 98.94% sensitivity (polyp detection rate) with 95.2% of precision (equivalent to around 98% specificity). 

The Magentiq Eye solution improves with every additional video that is read into the database to train and/or test the system. To date, more than 1400 full recorded videos have been collected with their procedure report and more than 1,000 full videos (more than 25,000,000 frames) have been processed, analyzed and tagged. Pathology reports are also collected.

A 1% increase in detection rate translates into identification of over 540 interval cancers in the US annually and a corresponding reduction in healthcare spend of more than $30M annually.

Magentiq Eye’s solution (ME-APDS™) highlights detected polyps and calls the physician’s attention to it for further inspection, biopsy or removal.
