About your organization / profile

Interventional endoscopy is a growing field, owing to the skill of expert clinicians and the pursuit of minimal invasiveness. However, adoption remains limited due to the lack of appropriate tools.

The case of early gastrointestinal cancer treatment (first intended use) is highly revealing. For early lesions (polyps), endoscopic dissection is the ideal procedure as it is curative, minimally-invasive and ambulatory. Yet, procedural complexity limits its adoption, and many patients have to undergo surgery, resulting in a 25% morbidity and a 1% mortality.

INEN Robotics leverages 15 years of research performed in world-renowned academic institutions in Strasbourg (ICube/CNRS/IRCAD) to democratize interventional endoscopy. Our technology robotizes a flexible endoscope and its surgical tools to bring the “surgical theater” inside the lumen of the patient. Our robotic and digital platform will allow a wider adoption of the best procedures while drastically reducing their duration and complication rate.

INEN’s technology has been preclinically validated with compelling results compared to its manual control. Our goal is to set up a first funding round in order to set-up a technical team and progress towards first in human.

INEN Robotics has been founded by Philippe Bencteux (radiologist, second time founder in interventional robotics) and Constantin Krempp (engineer with prior experience in VC and R&D in medical robotics).
