Hy2Care is a startup that developed the CartRevive Hydrogel implant, for the treatment of traumatic defect in knee cartilage.
The implant can be easily inserted both via open as well as arthroscopic surgery, creating an environment for cartilage cells to move into and grow, restoring hyaline like cartilage in the knee.
The company is finalizing its clinical trial ACTIVE in with 46 patients are treated. The First in Human data showed the same outcome as the more expensive cell-based therapies. At the moment Hy2Care is raising the series B in order to enter get to CE mark, IDE approval and start clinical trials in the USA.
