We produce a molecule which is a blood group antigen ligands, which allows to remove blood group antibodies from plasma, plasma derivative products, and platelets so that all those products become blood group independent (compatible with any recipient, whichever is the blood group of the donor). Instead of keeping 4 types of plasma (A, B, AB and O) hospitals have to keep only one kind, compatible with everybody. Same for platelets. This is also allowing to perform organ transplants between donor and recipient of different blood groups.
