Problem
59% of the waste produced globally is inorganic, consisting mostly of plastic, glass, metal, paper and cardboard packaging, which entails considerable organizational and logistical difficulties such as excessive dimensions and difficult recycling management. Another relevant fact is that 56% of annual waste ends up in landfill or incinerated, thus increasing the values of fine dust and greenhouse gas emissions which are among the causes of the pollution and climate changes we are witnessing.
In particular, in the field of waste management, it is highlighted that collection and transport activities can affect up to 70% of the total cost of waste management and emits CO2 like 3000 petrol cars driven for a year.

Solution
We have developed Ecotrix, the smart iot bin with integrated shredder to reduce the volume of waste.
Thanks to our smart bin, it is possible to save an average of 30% on the annual cost of waste management. Furthermore, less transport means fewer kilometers traveled and therefore fewer trucks on the roads, this leads to an 80% reduction in emissions.
By installing our smart bins at private households (apartment buildings), commercial activities and offices for indoor use we help cities towards 'Sustainable Neighbourhoods' by reducing waste collection and transport costs, reducing CO2 emissions, traffic and noise pollution. We increase and improve the Circular Economy of neighbourhoods improving ESG performance analysis capabilities, optimise fleet management by providing information on the level of waste bins being filled to prevent overflow.
We also promote 'Smart Sustainable Tourism' by installing our smart bins (outdoor use) to engage and sensitise citizens and tourists.

TRL9: The innovative shredding system installed inside all our equipment is a patented technology that allows us to reduce all the waste inserted by over 95%, with a reduction ratio of 1:20.
