Fluoink Nanotechnologies, a pioneering Tunisian startup, was founded in 2022 by four distinguished scientists from the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax: Ramzi Maalej, Fakher Chabchoub, Marwa Abid, and Hanen Douiri. Founders’ Backgrounds

  1. Ramzi Maalej, PhD: A Professor of Physics at the University of Sfax, Dr. Maalej brings over 22 years of experience in materials science, nanotechnology, photonics, and theoretical simulations. As the leader of a research team of 12 researchers, he has authored over 90 articles, contributed to three book chapters, and holds six national and international patents.
  2. Fakher Chabchoub, PhD: A Professor of Chemistry at the University of Sfax, Dr. Chabchoub has 24 years of experience in paints and pigments. As a master coordinator, he has published more than 80 papers, adding substantial expertise in chemistry and material sciences to the team.
  3. Marwa Abid, PhD: Dr. Abid, a chemist with over 10 years of experience in nanotechnology, has been instrumental in the development of innovative applications of nanomaterials.
  4. Hanen Douiri, PhD: Dr. Douiri, a physicist with more than 10 years of experience in materials science, design, fabrication, and simulations, completes the team with her deep knowledge of physical sciences.

Bacticleaner Platform

Fluoink's flagship product, the Bacticleaner platform, is a groundbreaking solution that harnesses state-of-the-art nanotechnologies to sanitize a variety of surfaces. These include paints, wood, devices, glass, and textiles. Bacticleaner ensures a germ-free environment by eradicating 99.9% of even the most resistant bacteria and viruses, offering efficient and durable protection against infections and pandemics. Recent Achievements

Recently, Fluoink installed its first production unit for the Bacticleaner platform, marking a significant milestone in its journey.
