Eurotab

Eurotab is a 50M€ French SME, focused on one format (tablets) and one technology (powder compression through rotary press).

Its business model is structured around 3 skills: 1) R&D elaborates new formulas and processes for tablet forms in different applications (household care, food, industrial minerals, by-products…) annual spending 7% of turnover – 147 patents, 2) Design and manufacture of industrial rotary presses to produce in the best economic and operational conditions – with 900 presses sold, market leader for bouillon cubes, detergents, salt, ... ,and 3) Tablet production, 1.5 billions/year, for customers in the 4 factories (France, Turkey,Spain), on the technology developed by the other two entities. About 2/3 of sales outside France

Metallurgy, users and producers of industrial minerals, are confronted with environmental and profitability issues due to regulations and costs on waste disposal, rarefaction of some raw materials. The issues hindering recycling of valuable by-products: a) small grain size (not reusable directly in furnace as subject to major fly-off) and b) current agglomerations require the use of costly binders, long curing time to reach mechanical resistance. EUROTAB binder-free compaction overtakes these hurdles, provides an economical and technological viable solution to recycle fines and by-products. This is confirmed by developments with world leaders in minerals and steel. Eurotab is looking for partnership to further develop this technology
