ecorbio is a startup focused on designing and developing patented cleantech solutions to produce truly sustainable EU biochemicals. We start with producing biopolyols - a key ingredient in many products that surround us every day, validated at pilot scale in Cyprus via direct chemical upgrading and upcycling of biomass by-products and waste. Our custom-tailored yet price-competitive biopolyols will allow multi-billion polyurethane-producing industries to build and produce more sustainably. Our initial target markets: the construction, building and maritime sectors. The direct displacement of petroleum-derived or food-competitive chemicals will avert greenhouse gases and propel our society into a circular future. After regional market entry in the Mediterranean at low volumes (500 t/y), we will seek establishing our first commercial production unit with strategic partners in France.
