Qu'est ce qui pousse les usages des cryptos par les utilisateurs africains ?

Est-ce que l'Afrique ne pourrait pas être le continent où l'adoption sera la plus massive dans les années à venir ?

Quels sont les facteurs favorables à ce développement ?

Abstract : Mon propos est d'analyser les raisons qui pousseraient les pays africains et l'Afrique en général à adopter, plus vite que les autres continents, les technologies de la blockchain dont les cryptomonnaies. Je tente de montrer que plusieurs facteurs clefs peuvent influencer cette adoption. Citons les usages existants de la monnaie via le téléphone mobile, moyen de paiement largement répandu en Afrique, ainsi que les contraintes monétaires imposées aux pays, mais également le fait que le finance traditionnelle africaine a de grandes similitudes avec la DeFi (Finance Décentralisée) qui est en train d'émerger partout dans le monde. L'amélioration des expériences utilisateurs est un autre facteur essentiel, et je prends pour exemple l'application Dizzitapp de DizzitUp (dont je m'occupe en ce moment en tant que CTO), comme un service type de ces évolutions qui sont en marche pour transformer l'Afrique.

How did DizzitUp, a start-up adventure focused on Africa, come about?

Answer: The DizzitUp idea was essentially inspired by my own experience. After completing my studies in Madagascar, I became a teacher in a small village, where there was neither water nor electricity. I spent 18 months there before going to France. When I came back, 30 years later, I realized that there was still no electricity. This made me angry and inspired me to act, to do something about it. However, setting up an NGO did not appeal to me; I wanted to give impetus to a project that could be implemented throughout the continent. I then became caught up in an ambition that I confess was overwhelming – tackling the problem of electricity in Africa.
