The Digital Transformation Hub

The Digital Transformation Hub (TheDTHub) is an innovation center dedicated to accelerating the application of social capital and technology for economic empowerment. Our area of focus spans education and training, design lab, innovation support, entrepreneurship capacity building, startup incubation and funding.
Purpose
TheDTHub aims at global impact through innovation driven by entrepreneurial talent and digital technology.
We do this by providing training and expertise in Digital Skills and Digital Entrepreneurship, particularly for young people.

 We embody the future of innovation by mobilizing a multi-stakeholder open-innovation ecosystem of organizations, SMEs, startups, universities and research institutes, where students, researchers, engineers, business developers and investors address the technology, talent, skills, business and capital needs of digital entrepreneurship.

 WHAT WE DO
We build the next generation of digital ventures, digital products and services, and breed digital entrepreneurial talent, helping businesses and entrepreneurs to be at the frontier of digital innovation by providing them with technology, talent, and growth support.
TheDTHub answers specific innovation needs by, for example, finding the right partners to bring technology to the market, supporting the scale-up of digital technology ventures, attracting talent and developing their digital knowledge and skills.
    
  FOCUS
The Digital Transformation Hub (TheDTHub) invests in strategic areas to accelerate the market uptake and scaling of research-based digital technologies (deep tech and big data) focusing on key societal challenges:

▪ Digital Agriculture, amongst others.
   
 WHAT WE’VE DONE
Designed and implemented a concept note and curriculum for the digital skills training programme to train a cohort of between 30 to 50 young specially selected women and girls in UI/UX for animation, video games and the general digital creative industry out of over 500 young females within TheDTHub’s network.
   Designed and developed an e-learning, e-mentoring, e-counselling platform that reached 6 million people online to provide support for young people in Ghana by training and equipping them with relevant skills such as building resilience, health awareness, wellness and safety, building relevant workplace skills and job-readiness during and after Covid-19.

 WHAT WE’VE DONE
Organized yearly week-long celebrations for over 300 young girls dubbed Girls In ICT to create awareness about the importance of STEM amongst young girls and opportunities within the digital space. We do this through Roadshows, Forums, Webinars and Conferences.
   Trained young people providing young people between the ages of 18-35 with competent digital skills in Web and Mobile Technology, Data Science, e-Commerce, Social Media and experiences that are relevant to starting their own startup or securing lucrative jobs.
