digitAAL Life GmbH

digitAAL Life GmbH, an Austrian start-up company founded in February 2020, specializes in developing disruptive innovation in health and care. The founding team comes from the successful long-term cooperation between JOANNEUM RESEARCH and partners from medicine and practice in several funded research projects, which resulted in this spin-off and the first version of our product which has already been launched in the German speaking market.

Our innovation is a tablet-based serious game as a training for activating the cognitive performance. For diagnostics, our worldwide unique eye tracking will be used in the future as a biomarker together with further performance data from the app to monitor the dementia status. In trhis way it will be the only solution on the market to offer both personalizable multimodal training as therapy and tools for the diagnosis of dementia.

However, it can also be used by all elderly people who want to stay mentally fit.

In the ongoing seed phase we are aiming at the certification of our product as a medical device. In addition, we will develop several useful features for practical use and launch the product in the the BENELUX and CEE regions.
