BiomimX mission is to bring native-like movement (“beating”) into in vitro preclinical models, to mimic human pathophysiology with an unprecedented level of precision. Towards this mission, BiomimX dissects human tissues motion states to unlock a new generation of dynamic preclinical models with unprecedented clinical relevance, leading to more reliable, fast responsive and affordable pre-clinical models for drug screening and disease modeling applications.
Building on its deep-techs, uBeat® and uSense, BiomimX thus overcomes current OoC limitations, proposing the first OoC enabling to mimic a wide range of organs and pathologies and to test toxicity/efficacy/functionality of drugs/medical devices/advanced therapies with unprecedented precision by real-time monitoring of clinically relevant parameters from such “in-vitro twins”.
Born as a deep-tech company in 2017, spinoff of Politecnico di Milano, BiomimX is today projected towards the future, envisioning a scenario in which animal models will not be considered representative anymore of human response to medical products, while drugs will be immediately tested on “in vitro twins” of patients, towards a precision medicine approach.
