Beams develops innovative β particles-based medical devices to guide cancer treatment.

Beams’ first product is a miniaturised intraoperative probe specifically dedicated to the real-time delineation of tumour margins radiolabelled with positron (β⁺ particles) emitters. It favours the whole removal of cancerous tissues to prevent the risk for recurrence, while preserving sound tissues around, to save organs functions. The surgical gesture is guided and, therefore, improved, which contributes to speed up patients’ recovery time.
