Baloon is an insurtech that gives access to insurance to the largest number of people in French-speaking Africa through digital technology. As such, we are a financial inclusion startup. We have developed a "full online" subscription platform that allows individuals to get insurance in a few clicks in a reliable and transparent way from their smartphone just by sending the photo of their car registration card and driver's license.
Founded in 2017, Baloon has established itself as the leading digital brokerage in French-speaking Africa with a presence in 6 countries (Ivory Coast, Senegal, Niger, Gabon, Cameroon and Togo). We have partnerships with the largest local insurers, whether international (Allianz or Axa) or pan-African (NSIA, SAHAM, COMAR, Activa) or even national (CAREN) groups
Baloon enables insurers to digitize themselves thanks to our proprietary and innovative platform. This is the case of Axa which uses our white label subscription tunnel for its digital distribution. We provide security for policyholders and insurers by considerably reducing the risk of fraud and non-payment. Everything is traceable, especially the payment of the premium which is done by "mobile money".
