Aqsitania startup company develops a disruptive innovation satisfying an unmet need for the detection, follow-up of patients, remote monitoring and diagnosis support of chronic pulmonary diseases. It relies on novel fundamental concepts leading to patented applications (FR,EU,US,CA,JP), even beyond respiratory medicine.

The economic burden of pulmonary diseases is enormous. The discomfort of patients is distressful and devastating worldwide. The ability to detect theses pathologies and an efficient care management of the patients are limited for lack of simple and safe widely usable tools. We have invented a new way to assess lung function that can be described by this simple phrase : “Show me how you breathe; I’ll tell you how you are !”. Tidal breathing or rest breathing, implements the “pulmonary ventilation”, hence the term “ventilometry”. The way each one breathes, quietly, at rest, appears to be a personal signature and a marker of the diseases altering its normal features, as described by the morphology of the air flow trace. This signal has never been exploited. Our solution will revolutionize the domain. It consists in a connected flow-meter and a SaaS platform treating the signals and analysing them.

The introduction a new medical concept requires a long period of experimentation and clinical studies. These were conducted with major university hospitals, mainly in France. We also have contacts and projects in Spain and USA . The outcome of these studies are unremarkable, and according to several experts we are on the way to a new international standard. The market is huge.

We now prepare market access, first in a pure high value medical perspective, but also in the even wider market of prevention and breathing self-management. To achieve these goals and deploy our innovation, we seek financial support from investors and partnership with companies that have interests in the domain.
