• At APEO Solutions, we are driven by a mission to transform the agricultural landscape, promoting a shift towards sustainable gardening and agriculture through innovative bio-herbicides bio-fungicides and biocides, based on science.

• Our products are based on Natural Essential Oils and botanical extracts, and act as  efficient 100% organic bio-pesticides.

• Our journey commenced a decade ago within the Integrated and Urban Phytopathology Laboratory (LPIU) at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, where extensive research into the utilization of Essential Oils as natural fungicides and herbicides ignited our vision.

APEO was created in January 2021, with the aim to find, develop, register, and commercialize Plant Protection Products based on organic substances.

APEO, enriched with a strong societal commitment, raised 3.7 million euros in private donations and an additional 4,6 million euros of public support. To propel its ambitious goals, the APEO team rapidly expanded from a team of 2 to a workforce of 8 individuals.

A portfolio of biological herbicides and biocides, is under development targeting both Professional Agriculture and Home & Garden markets. Our first registration dossiers for USA and Europe, are submitted in June 2024. 

The Global biopesticides Market Size is valued at €5.93 billion in 2022 and is predicted to reach €19.65 billion by the year 2031 at a 14.47% CAGR during the forecast period for 2023-2031. (twice faster than the chemical pesticides)

Herbicide is the biggest market (with 47% of the total Pesticide market) but also the one with more urgency to find alternative to chemical synthetic products.

APEO's first customers are the suppliers of H&G and DIY retailers. These suppliers offer a wide range of gardening products, from substrates, tools, to plant protection products. APEO will provide them a  complement to their portfolio (Compo, DCM, Bonide, Evergreen, SBM, Ecostyle, Mellerud, Central pet&garden...).

APEO second commercial development will aim suppliers of profesional crop and non crop (Landscaping infrastructures...) distribution, with Bioherbicides and Biofungicides (BASF, Sipcam, Origin, Agrovista, CertisBelchim, RovensaNext ..)

APEO will invest in the first production plant in 2025, and will begin marketing the first products in the USA in 2026 and in Europe in 2027.
