PureSurf

PureSurf has developed a platform technology to produce sustainable high performance bio-based surfactants from abundant European waste and side streams using mild, efficient transformations. We can offer the technology to produce these surfactants, the surfactants themselves currently in our portfolio, or R&D services to either develop novel tailor-made surfactants, develop sustainable transformations and/or analytical troubleshooting.

Additionally, we can add meaningful functionality to our products, offering exciting 2-in-1 or even 3-in-1 solutions (preservative, viscosity builder, foam control, chelator) to help existing players meet all sorts of challenges (CO2 neutrality, security of supply; import & product safety regulations). 
Our patent-pending platform is the result of years of high-level research (ERC Starting, ERC PoC & EIC Transition) and has unprecedented feedstock flexibility, allowing rapid adaptation to customer needs. It is currently capable of producing over 70 different surfactants (ionic & non-ionic) up to kg scale. To date, they have demonstrated up to 100x higher efficiencies compared to petrochemically derived gold standards and CO2 savings of up to 90%. To date, we have received over 20 LOIs from players across the value chain and are currently conducting customer trials.
