The small satellite market size will evolve from $2.9Bn in 2017 to $7.5Bn in 2022.

However, the lack of a small, efficient and affordable propulsion system significantly limits their performance and profitability. Exotrail’s miniaturised propulsion system tackles this problem. Our innovative technology relies on more than 10 years of public research in the field of Hall Effect Thruster miniaturisation. The solution provides a high fuel efficiency and a significantly lower power consumption than competing solutions; all at an affordable cost. Our thruster is designed as a ‘plug & play system’, compatible with standardised microsatellites platforms and addresses our customers’ current & future needs. Our thruster will be ready for the market in 2019 and has already created a strong interest from our customers.

In the long-term, Exotrail envisions a world where new in-orbit services will be readily available at affordable costs due to small satellites equipped with efficient electric propulsion. In-space inspection, in-orbit assembly, servicing and manufacturing of spacecrafts will entirely disrupt the space industry in the next 10 years. Exotrail will be part of this revolution.
