Zoan BioMed Design and develop Bone Grafting material through the sustainable cultivation of marine coral, providing safe and effective solutions for orthopaedic surgeons.  Coral scaffolds are a blueprint of human bone and due to their naturally assembled architecture and integral strength, are ideal bone graft substitutes.    

Safety and biocompatibility of Zoan’s devices validated through multiple academic studies. Clinically Voice of the Customer by Prof Peter Giannoudis (Leeds General Infirmary) and Prof Robert Flavin (St Vincent’s, Dublin).  Pre-clinical trials at NAMSA confirm homogenous bone formation in long boned animal studies.  

€2.2 million invested/committed to date through EU grants, state funding and private equity.  Launch Product ZOANG03 scheduled for FDA 510(k) submission in Q4 2020.
