About your organization

VOTIS Subdermal Imaging Technologies, Ltd. helps people keep their feet.

A wound in the foot of a healthy person heals naturally, in part because blood carries oxygen to the site of the wound and helps it heal. If someone with peripheral artery disease (PAD) were to get the same wound, the lack of blood flow or oxygen in the blood may prevent or slow wound healing.

It is estimated that more than 200 million people have PAD worldwide. The direct economic cost of PAD is higher than that of coronary artery disease, diabetes, and all cancers combined. Having PAD significantly increases the risk for heart attack, stroke, amputation, and death.

People with diabetes are 2-4 times more likely to develop PAD, and the risk of amputation in someone with diabetes is fifteen times greater than in people who do not have diabetes.

VOTIS is developing a suite of three devices: PedCheckTM, to screen for, and PedStageTM, to stage and monitor PAD. The devices are non-invasive and do not use ionizing radiation, so they can be used safely as often as desired by the treating physician. If the patient requires a revascularization procedure, our third device, PedFloTM, lets the doctor monitor blood flow in the patient’s foot in real time during the procedure.

VOTIS’s cloud- and AI-based system detects even asymptomatic PAD. We look deeper and see better, and we give doctors the tools that they need to measure what they are monitoring.

VOTIS accompanies the patient every step of the way.
