RheaVita develops and validates innovative technologies for the Pharmaceutical Industry. RheaVita has developed a method and technology to perform freeze-drying in a more efficient way leading to 40 times faster process. This has been further developed into a modular continuous freeze drying system. The result is a significant reduction in time-to-market for new medicines that require freeze-drying as a conservation step. The continuous process allows unprecedented quality assurance since each individual dose has undergone a controlled process, which would not be possible to achieve in a batch process. Further, the concept allows scale-up, but also scale down of production volumes, which matches with the current trend towards low volume / high value products.
