Rethink Medical was created with the aim of developing medical devices, based on real-life nursing experience.
Manuel, one of its co-founders has worked as a nurse in 3 different EU countries in the last 16 years. During his experience in the NHS, he was able to observe how, unlike the Mediterranean Europeans, many elderly people lived alone and bladder cathetering greatly limited their lives and mainly their autonomy. Based on this experience, he invented T-Control®, that was designed for helping the patient, but meanwhile also offered a chance to make the healthcare professionals ́ life easier, without forgeting about the needs of public administration.

T-Control® is a bladder catheter with a built-in fluid controlling system in order to control the flow of urine during insertion and afterwards and covers currently unmet needs, such as:
- Multifactorial infection prevention

- Enhanced work efficiency of the healthcare staff

- Reduced occupational risks
- Improved the quality of life
- Cost reduction related to catheterizatioon

Rethink Medical has raised the interest of several hospitals and commercial partners as well. On the other hand, Szilvia Endrenyi, the other co-founder of this company, has spent most of her career in the healthcare sector, in business development positions. Her passion towards creating truly disruptive ideas in a small and agile company encouraged her to create, together with Manuel Luque, Rethink Medical.
