React4life has developed MIVO^® - Multi In Vitro Organ, an innovative microphysiological system able to emulate portions of the human body in vitro. It can be used (i) for enhancing tissues conditions and prolonging lifetime of cells ex vivo towards personalized medicine, (ii) for advanced drug/ new therapeutic approaches testing, and (iii) for basic research to accelerate human disease knowledge, finally reducing the animal use. MIVO is patented, fully industrialized and already sold to pharma, research centers, CRO and testing companies.

MIVO represents a step-forward with respect to all the current in vitro assays, due to its unique capacity to culture 3D clinically-relevant size tissues (organoids, bioprinted tissues or patient derived biopsies) under physiological fluid-flow. This solution represents a cutting-edge technology since it shows high reliability when performing realistic and reproducible tests in a physiological 3D environment (results in line with animal/clinical data), (ii) it is quick and easy to use (less than 2 minute to start the experiments), (iii) it is flexible and allows multi-chamber connection, for ADME assays and multi-organ based disease modelling, (iv) it provides fast test-response with respect to other pre-clinical studies (75% time reduction in drug efficacy assays).
