Malcisbo is a biotech company developing anti-bacterial vaccines. We are specialized in glycoengineering technologies resulting in efficient glycoconjugate vaccines. Our focus is on bacterial diseases targeting animal health, human food safety and zoonotic diseases. Our first vaccine aims at the medical areas of human Campylobacter infections (prevention of human food poisoning due to chicken meat contaminated with Campylobacter). Reduction of Campylobacter in chickens will reduce the infection rate of humans which currently is at 9 Mio cases per year in the EU causing an estimated €2.3bn damage.

 A second target is pig meat production. Infections with Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae cause major economic loss in swine industry due to mortality, retarded growth rate and antibiotic medication. Other indications are envisaged.

Malcisbo's technology allows cost-efficient production of vaccines in line with the goals of authorities to reduce the use of antibiotics.
