Our Investment Thesis

Ivoire Angels offers its members investment and co-investment opportunities by:

• Investing in innovative startups with high growth potential at the pre-seed and seed stage in order to boost their growth and make them attractive for subsequent funding.
• Investing in start-up and growing SMEs whose business model clearly incorporates growth ambitions (geographic expansion, franchising, etc.)
• Co-investing in risk mitigated projects finance in Côte d'Ivoire and West Africa, particularly Francophone .
• Investing or co-investing in the implementation of innovations developed elsewhere in Africa, Europe and America on the Ivorian market (matchmaking, investors and local CEO, Ivoire Angels would not take care of the operationalization).

We are initially focusing on the Ivorian market but will expand our investments in other markets in West Africa, particularly French-speaking ones.

Our investment decisions are based on 4 criteria:

• The team and its founder
• The product/service – There must be at least one MVP and the PMF must be validated (post-revenue)
• Market size – internationalization ambitions are preferred
• The 'differentiators' – elements of competitive advantage
