Bluemint Labs is a Grenoble, France based start-up focused on the making driving safer in any vehicle via an intuitive and touch-free platform. 

Bixi-drive is a Hardware + App driven platform focused on reducing driver distraction in a motivating way. It allows safe and legally compliant interaction with a smartphone for all essential functions. It intelligently senses for driving patterns such as harsh acceleration, cornering, etc and coaches the drive to be more attentive. 

The low-cost, feature-rich platform technology uses an interactive touch-free Gesture & voice controller that interfaces with the Bixi-drive Mobile App via Bluetooth Low Energy. The Controller also reads data from the vehicle's OBD-II Diagnostic port to transmit vehicle health status as well. The App runs on user's own mobile device. 

The overall data (driver behavior, vehicle health, trip tracking, etc), when shared with the Insurance sector, can help the driver lower his insurance premium for usage-based insurance schemes. The Insurance sector can also reduce the number of claims to treat by due to reduced distraction from a smartphone via Bixi drive which also proactively coaches the driver to be more responsible.

Bixi Drive is offered as  'Platform-as-a-service' where the controller will be offered or sold and various features of the platform (driver analysis, crash detection, geofencing, etc. ) will be available on a subscription basis.
