AvidBeam Completes first phase deployment with Coca Cola
AvidBeam, an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based video analytics company, has recently concluded the implementation of the first phase of a large scale real-time surveillance project at Coca Cola Bottling Company applying advanced video analytics to improve safety and security of the work environment. The project was delivered in collaboration with system integrator GET Group.
Coca Cola wanted to implement real-time security and safety solutions using surveillance cameras to protect access to their premises as well as to generate alerts for employees’ violation of safety precautions.
AvidBeam deployed real-time biometric face-recognition technology, which is today the most natural of all biometric measurements, to ensure proper access authorization. In addition, AvidBeam also deployed an alerting system to detect staff’s headcovers, helmets and vests.
AvidBeam locally developed state-of-the-art technology is fully integrated with Milestone Video Management System (VMS) which drastically improves the safety and security of the enterprise. The deployment was completed in record time and the team delivered good Best-Known Methods (BKMs) on camera setup and configuration and network adjustment to the supporting staff. The project will scale up in 4 other sites this year. It is expected that Coca Cola will generalize the solution at their 40+ sites subsequently. Face mask detection will be added in upcoming phases as the industry will continue to adjust their modus operandi during the pandemic.
It is anticipated that industries with large workforce will start to request and adopt similar solutions to deal with security authorization, health and safety issues.
Video Analytics technology has made major progress in technology maturity owing to advancement in deep learning and new AI tools and techniques. AvidBeam solutions are flexible and can work with existing video surveillance camera infrastructure. It is also important to note that no special cameras are required. What is needed is a backend server to run video analytics processing on video streams sourced either directly from surveillance cameras or from the Video Management System of the camera. AvidBeam is fully integrated and certified with Milestone and other VMSs and Internet of Things (IOT) subsystems.
